Are you facing a situation that confuses you; that makes you clueless as to what to say or do? Do you find yourself helpless about a particular situation? Do you need wisdom, patience, understanding, or a breakthrough?
When all else has failed, and you are at your wits’ end, that is when to pray!
Praying means asking God to intervene in, help, or change a situation for your good!
The good news is that God has provided prayer as a means of communicating with Him, and receiving help in our times of need.
David prayed to God when his family and possessions, and those of his soldiers, were carried away captive (1 Samuel 30:8). Elijah prayed for rain in a land blighted by drought (1 Kings 18:41-46), and King Hezekiah prayed for his life when the Prophet told him his time on earth was up (Isaiah 38:1-8).
Sadly, we only pray when things have gone horribly wrong. If only we understood that prayer should be made at all times: in good times we are to thank, praise and glorify God, and in bad times we are to plead for mercy, patience, endurance, and a positive change to our dwindling fortunes.
So what is your burden today? Is it sickness, financial health, marital problems, or a lack of understanding amongst colleagues? Is it childlessness, bad luck, unfaithfulness, or loneliness?
Pray then, and keep on praying until something happens. Persist in prayer, refuse to give up, continue to believe God for a turnaround of your situation, and Jehovah your provider, healer, wisdom, and protector will surely intervene.
Just keep on praying!

Lesson of the Week

1. Pray constantly (Philippians 4:6)
2. Pray with unwavering belief that you will receive your petition (James 1:6)
Do not cease praying until you receive. The constancy of your prayer tells God that your need is genuine, and communicates your obedience to “pray without ceasing”. Remember that Daniel prayed for 21 days before he received a response. The fact that God has not yet answered your prayer does not mean that He will not! His times are different than ours, and we must wait on His time!
Secondly, God wants us to ask in faith, believing without a doubt that He will answer us. Our asking in faith communicates to God that we accept that He exists, and that He will eventually reward those of us who diligently pray to Him (Hebrews 11:6).
Nothing is too difficult for our Father and His Son Jesus Christ; stay therefore in the place of prayer until He meets your need. I promise you that if you keep praying, God will yet bless you with your heart’s desire!
Keep the faith, and may God visit you soonest.

And knowing that God is everything He says He is, why then do we sometimes not submit to His will?
The answer probably rests in the fact that as human beings, we enjoy situations that favor us, but hate it when things are not going our way!
But the Lord assures us that His thoughts towards us are good thoughts and that He will bring us to our expectations and hopes (Jeremiah 29:11). If this is the case, why then do we not joyfully submit to whatever He allows us to experience, knowing that we will eventually benefit? The answers are simple:
We do not trust God enough, we love to obtain without struggles, and we do not do well with adversity!
For those who have been Christians for a long time, things have come easy, and they wither once a little adversity comes their way. The bible however enjoins us to be joyful in trials, as patience and perfection are birthed in us through tough times (James 1:2-4).
Job is an example of someone who endured hardship, remained submissive to God’s will (even though he did not know what it was during his trials), and eventually received restoration and promotion.
For those of us who do not know God well enough, our trust levels have been inadequate, and this has hampered our submissiveness to Him. Some of us have asked dangerous questions such as: What kind of God would allow this type of tragedy to befall me; where was God as I suffered these hardships?
The truth is: God wants our complete trust and obedience; He values these above any other gifts and sacrifices we might be able to give Him (Proverbs 3:5-6 & 1 Sam 15:22). Will you submit to God today despite the challenges you face, or will you discountenance His sure promises because things are not YET going your way? The wise choice is to submit, trust, and obey!

Lesson of the Week1. Be transformed, and be able to identify God’s will for you (Romans 12:2)
2. Ask God today to teach you how to do His will; how to submit to Him (Psalms 143:10)God can change anyone; let us ask Him to transform us so we can know what His will for us is. The first step to submitting to God’s will is to know what that will is.
Secondly, let us ask God for an obedient and humble heart so we may understand how to perform His will, or submit ourselves to it. It is in submission that the power of God is made active in our situations; it is in submission that God is pleased, and when God is pleased with us, nothing can defeat us (Proverbs 16:7).
Will you join me this week in asking God for a submissive heart? Will you disregard your difficulties for now and focus on pleasing the Eternal Creator? Will you seek first His kingdom, knowing that blessings will follow those who belong to His kingdom (Matthew 6:33)?
The righteous shall truly inherit God’s promises (Psalms 37:25). Be right before God; submit to His will this day.

The world is full of problems! It also has its fair share of unfortunate events, bad friends, unethical practices, and hateful people.
Are you going through ill-health, childlessness, marital problems, financial difficulties, or depression? Are your challenges so persistent or intense that you have lost your ability to pray? Have you lost all hope?
My one-stop cure for these situations is: God, the Creator of all things! If He created everything, then He can also alter all things! God is the “I AM”!
He sees all, knows all, changes all, cures all, comforts all, restores all, provides all, and above all these things: God loves all His creation; everything and everyone!
In essence, God is all things to all men, and is able to meet us at the point of all our needs, despite our varying levels of faith and trust in Him.
Jesus His Son healed the blind, the deaf, the lame, the sick, and the dead. He lives, and forever shall live.
Do you need a change for the better? A healthy body? A new job? A wife? A husband? A child? Promotion? Joy? Favor? Wisdom? A loving heart? Forgiveness? The one who is all things to all men stands ready to give you these things, if only you would believe Him and ask Him in faith!
His name is God; the ‘I AM THAT I AM’!
We only have to ask. When we ask the Father for anything in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, God will give it to us (John 14:13-14). But first of all, we must accept that He exists; then, and only then, will our asking in Jesus name be fruitful (Hebrews 11:6).
Join me today in believing that God is; seek Him, and your life will be bountiful and joyful.

Lesson of the Week1. God meets our every need (Philippians 4:19)
2. God remains the same forever (Hebrews 13:8)
The Creator of all things stands ready to bless those who acknowledge Him as the only true God. If He can speak the universe into being, and give the life of His Son Jesus for our sins, how much more will He freely give us all things (Romans 8:32)? And for those who do not accept Him as God, their rejection of His sole divinity does not change the fact that He is who He says He is: God! And He has promised to give us what we need in this life and in the life to come.
Secondly, God cannot change; He remains the same through eternity. The God of Abraham who parted the Red Sea and toppled the walls of Jericho is the same God we call upon as Christians today. He has not changed, cannot change, and will remain the same forever.
If we diligently seek Him, He will deliver us from ALL our troubles, and give us His indescribable peace.
Will you accept that God is, and that with Him, nothing is impossible (Luke 1:37)?
Be still then, embrace God, and watch the provider of everything intervene; watch Him be God, and be blessed!

Have you ever received unsolicited help, literally out of nowhere or from the least expected source? Have you ever done the same by sharing your resources with others? And by resources I mean money, information, and contacts!! I have received such favors before, and there is nothing so rejuvenating than being assisted by someone else as you face daunting propositions.
Sadly, the ‘world’ taught us to hoard, hide, and refuse to share our blessings, leading us to believe that those who share their resources often come out as second-best in life’s race! This is not true!!
Sharing means loving, giving, and obeying what the ‘secular world’ calls the “golden rule”, and what we regard as Christ’s cardinal rule – “love your neighbor as yourself”.
Leaders and motivators are made through the act of sharing and supporting others to success.
The Good Samaritan shared his time and finances with the robbery victim (Luke 10:30-37), Jonathan shared his love with David (1 Sam 18:1-4), and God shared His son Jesus’ life with us so we can gain easier access to His kingdom (John 3:16). Jesus further commands us to share our food or clothing with the needy (Luke 3:11), and to give gifts of money, prayer, or possessions to even our enemies (Matthew 5:42-44).
Have you helped someone recently? Or are you still consumed with keeping all your blessings to yourself? Do you know that God blessed you so you can, through kindness, be a blessing to others? Do you not understand that the only tangible things after we leave this earth are the kindnesses and consideration we extend to others?
God commands us to give to others, because in so doing, we will be blessed beyond our wildest dreams (Luke 6:38). Will you readily share your all with all today? And in the future?

Lesson of the Week1. Be eager to share your good fortune with others (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
2. Trust that the law of spiritual reciprocity will apply to you (Matthew 7:12)
Empowering others comes from sharing your privileged information with them. In so doing, you give them the power to be as good as or even better than you are. But do not be afraid of being supplanted; people who receive help have a natural tendency to appreciate and exalt those who helped them.
Mentors want to be associated with successful protégées, and successful protégées never forget where they journeyed from! Leaders are judged by the quality of people they raised!
When you bless others with your substance, someone else will also meet any need you might have. Give liberally as a seed, and watch the exponential harvest that follows. Dr. Miles Monroe advised us to “decide if we are going to rob the world or bless it with the rich, valuable, potent, untapped resources locked away within us".
This week I challenge us to focus on others’ needs, and not on ours! If we allow ourselves to be instruments of blessing in God’s hands, He will also bless and promote us.
Share readily with others this week, and watch what Jehovah-Jireh, your Provider, will do!

Knowledge empowers, and is very often the edge we need in all aspects of life!
Medicine, law, science, history, and engineering are a few fields of endeavor that have been enhanced by the acquisition of knowledge; mankind has therefore benefitted immensely.
But knowledge is acquired through persistent study and reflection; through the love of reading.
Those who read voraciously (hungrily) acquire vast amounts of information, and are sought after for their well-rounded opinions. Scientists, politicians, scholars, and sportspersons have excelled in their disciplines because they exercised their impulse to read.
The most widely-read book in history is the Holy Bible, and amongst its many wise instructions are to read, meditate, and act on the Word of God!
Reading God’s Word leads us to the truth (2 Tim 2:15), frees us (John 8:32), makes us competent (2 Timothy 3:16-17), guides us (Psalms 119:105), prospers us (Joshua 1:8), and makes us more discerning (Hebrews 4:12).
Pick up your bible today, read any portion, and begin the journey to enlightenment and peace!

Lesson of the Week1. Discipline yourself; study, excel in every area of your life (Proverbs 4:20-22)
2. Practice what you have learned; apply your knowledge (Deuteronomy 28:1-13)
Just read God’s Word! The answers to everything you seek are contained therein.
The wisdom for business, health, human resource management, and financial freedom are all detailed within the Bible. Search for them; use the various search engines on the internet to find these treasures.
Secondly, dedicate yourself to doing what the bible has prescribed you should do. Every leadership, business, and life principle we embrace in our secular lives were first detailed in the Bible. If these secular concepts worked for you, imagine the extraordinary joy, peace, health, and success that would be yours if you fully embrace the teachings in God’s word: The Holy Bible.
Regardless of your situation, the Word of God has a perfect solution; search the scriptures from now on, and begin your journey through recovery, and to victory.
God’s Word is His Wisdom; enjoy, and have a wonderful future as you do so!

Having heard from God, obeyed Him, and sacrificed for the vision, we still need to work to make things happen!
The fact that you have made all the right moves does not guarantee immediate success.
We most times persist and persevere at the assignment, finding ways to tweak the processes so as to succeed.
We have to work at it!
Moses stuck to the assignment with Pharaoh, demanding for the Israelite release from bondage repeatedly. Joshua stuck to it, leading the wandering Israelite nation through several battles in the Promised Land.
Our Lord Jesus stuck to it, preparing His disciples to take over the world with His gospel of peace and reconciliation with God the Father.
Working at it means sticking to the plan, and executing it through disappointments and delays. Working at it means persisting in the course of action until a breakthrough occurs. Working at it means keeping up the prayer support, as well as the level of faith and belief. Working at it means believing in God, and in your capabilities.
What assignment do you have? Have you planned, prayed, worked, and believed through? Are you faltering due to delayed success? Are you weary or discouraged?
The Lord is advising and inspiring you today not to give up! Keep working at it, and you will yet succeed.
Endure, stay the course, never give up. Win!

Lesson of the Week1. Keep believing in God (Luke 1:37)
2. Never give up (2 Chronicles 15:7)
Faith is the first critical ingredient to success, and anyone without hope or belief cannot win. You have to believe in yourself, your plan, and your skills or competence.
Secondly, you have to apply yourself fully to the task at hand and keep plodding on. You cannot, must not give up or lose hope. Add works to your faith, and success will surely come. A secular quote underscores these two principles by saying:
“So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit” (Anonymous).
God wants to bless the work of your hands. It is therefore necessary that your hands must find some work to do. Plan your work, and work your plan. The Lord will surely bless the work of your hands, if you work at it.

He that dares to compete, more often than not, gives himself a chance to win.
Talent alone does not carry someone to victory, but it requires a spicing of courage and resilience to keep one in the fight and eventually triumph.
Sacrifice is the name of the game, and he who prepares in private is often celebrated in public (Psalms 126:5-6).

• Noah sacrificed 100 years working on the Ark in preparation for the Flood (Gen 6:1-22)
• Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days to hear God’s answer concerning Israel’s captivity in Babylon (Daniel 10:12-13)
• Jesus fasted and prayed for forty days to be equipped for His ministry (Matthew 4:1-2)
• Apostle Paul sacrificed his budding legal career for the hardship associated with spreading the gospel in ancient Asia Minor (Acts 16:4-6)
• Our Heavenly Father sacrificed His only son in order to bring salvation to the world (John 3:16)

We all need to sacrifice something in order to win; to give up something in order to gain something worthwhile.
Have you given up food for fasting, sleep for studying, social standing to stand for what is good and just, hobby for more prayer time, or precious possessions to achieve something in the future?
Have you learned yet that in order to gain something, you have to give up something? That in order to receive you have to give or that to lead you have to serve?
Sacrifice and victory are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but one cannot be victorious without sacrifice, and one cannot be humble and magnanimous except in victory! Sacrifice therefore, and win!

Lesson of the Week

1. Give up something dear to you for the hope of better communications with God (2 Tim 2:9-10)
2. Fight on with courage; victory comes to those who persevere (2 Chronicles 15:7).
A sacrifice means relinquishing something important in the hope of achieving another goal. In our walk with God, we have to be prepared to let go of certain worldly pleasures in order to hear from Him or to serve Him well. For example, living a life of moderation typifies the Christian way of life, and attracts others to our Lord Jesus Christ. Could we be less contentious or less greedy for the sake of Christ, or is there a great divide between what we preach and what we do?
Life is full of challenges, and those who overcome have to do so with courage and tenacity. God did not say we would not face obstacles; He rather promised to be with us through all our adversities, and to help us overcome them. Walk with God and His Christ in faith today.
Give up something to gain something. Press on, be a champion in your area of difficulty, and sacrifice to win.
May the Lord Jesus be your strength and shield, and may you be a blessing this week!

We identified our plan, began execution, and then had some minor road-bumps.
Adversity comes with setbacks and failures, but the failures need not have to be permanent.
God assured us the testing times and difficulties will arise, but that He will see us through them. He has promised to remain with us during our tough times (Isaiah 41:17-20). He has promised to bless us abundantly if we stay the course (Galatians 6:9). No matter how many times you get knocked down, get back up and try again. He who perseveres will receive his blessings!
If the Eternal Creator is on our side, why should we lose hope?
Did the shepherd boy David lose hope at the sight of the mighty Goliath?
Did Moses falter when he was sent to deliver Israel from Egypt?
Did Elisha lose heart when he was surrounded by the Syrian army?
Did Apostle Peter and the disciples fear any reprisals after Pentecost?
No! They arose, and put everything they had into the task at hand. They fought back.
What is that mountain you face? Do you not think that the God who raised Jesus from the dead is able to grant you victory? He has promised to fight for you, if only you can hold your peace. God has promised to level every mountain and straighten every road before you; He only expects complete faith and a ‘do-not-quit’ attitude!
Arise therefore, and fight; again and again and again, until victory is secured! There is no other way.

Lesson of the Week

1. Your moment has arrived; you are equipped for the task (Isaiah 60:1).
2. Allow God to show you how to fight (Psalms 144:1-2).
3. Never give up (Ecclesiastes 9:10 & Colossians 3:23)
There is a time for everything! Do not miss your moment when it comes; look out for it.
God has prepared you for such a time as this; gear up with strength and determination, and embrace your challenges with courage. As you arise to fight, seek God’s face for guidance, and execute your plan boldly.
Persevere and stay steadfast and diligent in your chosen course of action. Set your face on God, shake of any initial setbacks, and win!
When you know your moment and allow God to instruct you on the way forward, you will be inspired to keep fighting until victory is yours.
Keep up the good fight, and glorify your Father in Heaven.
May victory be yours this week and always.

And now you know what you have to do to succeed! You summon up the courage to begin implementing your plan, and just when you think everything is going smoothly, challenges, obstacles, and setbacks beset you. Adversity rears its ugly head, and you begin to doubt whether you heard, planned, or executed appropriately.
To handle adversity, you must embrace it!
Do not fear facing it down, because it is only in so doing that you can acknowledge your weaknesses. The blinded Samson performed his greatest feat at his weakest moment (Judges 16:25-30), and Gideon routed the Medianite army with only 300 men (Judges 7:7). God promises to arise strongly on our behalf when we are weak (2 Cor. 12:9). Our challenges may be many, but God has promised deliverance from them all (Psalm 34:19).
To handle adversity we must control ourselves and fight back with a plan (1 Cor. 9:25-27).
Choose to be joyful in the face of adversity; godly joy brings forth patience and contentment (James 1:2-4), a persevering mindset, and ultimate rewards (James 1:12). Isaac controlled himself when the men of Gerar quarreled with him over his newly-dug wells. He responded peacefully by relocating and sinking new wells (Genesis 26:22). He knew that since God was with him, he would eventually be successful in his endeavors.
And….Moses controlled his frustrations at Pharaoh’s denials and allowed God’s purpose to be manifest through obedience, perseverance, and adherence to the plan (Exodus 7:2-5).
Handle adversity today by showing no fear, controlling your emotions, and steadily working your plan!

Lesson of the Week     1. Ask God for the mindset to persevere, because you know the end will be good (Phil 4:12-13).
2. Have faith in God’s capacity to provide (Mark 11:23).
3. Be strong and unafraid (Joshua 1:9).
Adversity comes to all; the ability to push through to victory is what distinguishes winners from losers! God has promised us great things if we can only keep the faith and trust Him.
Keeping the faith involves understanding that God has the ultimate power, and will bless whomever He decides to bless. Rid yourself of every doubt, stay above the physical circumstances of your current situation, and believe God’s word:
God will never leave you nor forsake you; he will be with you through every trial, obstacle, setback, and challenge. Your end will indeed be much better than your beginning!
Stay the course, be patient, work your plan, and be victorious over every adverse situation.
Remember to give Him all the glory.

Waiting on, and hearing from God are precursors to obeying Him!
Obeying God means translating what we have heard into action; it means running with the vision that has been revealed to us.
How many times have we been reluctant to move, even after we have received confirmation about a certain course of action? It is human frailty to doubt our inclination to execute, preferring to hesitate or mull things over. Jonah hesitated, disobeyed, and ended up in the belly of a whale (Jonah 1:1-17)! Barak hesitated, and needed the backing and participation of the prophetess Deborah in order to carry out God’s instructions (Judges 4:6-10).
Regardless of how much we have prayed and fasted, there comes a time to step up to the plate and perform! There comes a time to run with the divinely appointed vision; to disregard every doubt, trust in God’s enablement, and execute or run the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).
Running with the vision entails trusting and obeying God. Oftentimes, we may not understand the strategy or process God will use to bring our yearnings to fruition; it is however critical that we trust He will do what He says!
Moses ran with the vision of freeing the Israelites from Egyptian bondage, Noah of building the Ark for survivors of the impending flood, and our Lord Jesus Christ of bringing eternal, once-for-all salvation to a sinful world! These divine instruments never doubted God nor asked Him to explain how He would bring turnarounds to the prevailing situations.
Will you trust God today? Dare you take the vision He has revealed, and run with it? Doing so is complete obedience to your God and King, and a harbinger of great things to come!

Lesson of the Week

1. Trust God to make things happen (Romans 10:13).
2. Begin executing today; do not delay (Romans 13:11-12).
It is time to work! Follow God’s leading, and trust that He will help you achieve your dreams.
Faith without works is dead, and the man who says he will not work because there is a chance of inclement weather is lazy (Proverbs 22:13) & (Proverbs 26:13-15).
The appointed time for our vision is now. The time for praying, fasting, and planning is over!
It is time to execute what God has laid upon our hearts; let us do so with complete trust in the abilities and faithfulness of the Eternal Creator. He will never leave us nor forsake us!
With God nothing shall be impossible.
Be triumphant, and glorify our Lord Jesus with your victory.
