There is a level of dependence, trust, and faith in God’s capacity to love, protect, and bless that brings about genuine peace; a tranquil state that can only be described as “REST”.
Abraham experienced rest as he obeyed and journeyed for many years towards God’s Promised Land, Moses as he labored at freeing the Israelites from Pharaoh’s bondage and Jonah as he finally submitted to God’s call to Nineveh.
God’s rest is a place of surrender, submission, and quietness in God’s will!
God’s rest comes when we have exhausted our energies in vain while trying to overcome. It comes when we come to the awful realization that we neither have the strength, smarts, nor connections to continue the struggle. It comes when our health, marriage, business, property, or reputation is in jeopardy.
We rest in God when there is no other one to turn to; when all else have failed!
Have you found yourself in any of these situations recently? Do you feel as if the world has left you behind, and all alone? Are you struggling in your situation without success? Has life lost its sweetness?
If any of these situations refer to you, then Jesus is asking you today to allow Him shoulder your burdens; He alone is strong and compassionate enough to bear these weights off of your shoulders  (Matthew 11:28-30).
Cease the struggle today, join your faith in God to a submissive spirit, and let God into your situation. There is nothing too difficult for Him to do, and there is no wisdom such as His! God has promised us peace while He fights our battles (Exodus 14:14). He has promised us victory if we trust and depend on Him (Isaiah 40:28-31).
Ask Jesus today for His rest; He will answer speedily because that is why He died and rose again!

Lesson of the Week

1. Stop struggling on your own strength (Jeremiah 17:5-8).
2. Ask Jesus for the faith and strength to cast all your cares upon Him (Psalms 55:22 & 1 Peter 5:6-7).
God is standing by, waiting for you to invite Him into your situation!
Stop depending on your feeble strength and shallow knowledge, and reach out to God! He disdains those who trust in their own power, but upholds and blesses those who put their trust in Him.
Pray for strength and faith to trust the invincible, invisible, and Almighty Father in your situation.
Jesus cannot fail; His knowledge and power are limitless, and He stands at your door awaiting your invitation.
I have entered into God’s rest, and I attest that there is no better place to be; will you join me today?
Entering God’s rest will usher in peace, healing, victory, joy, love, and life in abundance. Only He can give these; only He will give these.
Seek first the Kingdom of God, and everything else will be added to you (Matthew 6:30-33).
Do not delay!
